FAQs

How is Heal-Thy Sol keeping clients safe?

Here at HTS, we have always taken the health and safety of our clients seriously. As part of our protocols, we are booking sessions by appointment only. Clients will be asked a series of COVID-19 screening questions prior to their appointment. We appreciate and require our clients to let us know if they are experiencing ANY symptoms, or if they have been exposed to someone who has symptoms/tested positive. Each treatment room has its own HEPA air purifier. We are allowing an hour between clients for maximum sanitization of our equipment, containers, surfaces, doorknobs, client areas, counters, pens, and floors, with 70% (or more) alcohol antibacterial wipes, Clorox wipes, and/or hospital-grade sanitizer. Clients can rest easy knowing that our tables/face cradles/pillows are dual-lined with removable, washable & protective covers underneath the sheets/blankets. All staff will be conducting temperature checks prior to the start of the day. All staff are fully vaccinated and will continue to wear masks and face shields when necessary. Hands are washed and sanitized before and after each treatment. We are diligent and conscientious of our own and our client's safety.

I’m a new client, what can I expect?

Thank you for choosing Heal-Thy Sol for your next healing session. All services are confirmed with a prepayment. All clients will receive a "Client Questionnaire" form included in your confirmation email. It is essential to complete this form before your appointment as it provides details of any medical conditions, allergies, areas of concern/preferences, your level of pain or discomfort on good and bad days, what helps reduce the pain, and what makes it worse. The form also includes our waiver and cancelation policies. Please keep in mind the initial consultation will be held in person during the first session. The consultation is focused on communication and assessment to set goals for future sessions. ALL INFORMATION IS KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.

How can I prepare for my session?

That’s an excellent question! We want every client to get the most out of their sessions and a little preparation goes a long way toward ultimate relaxation. Pre-Session: Showering (no make-up if possible), wearing comfortable clothing and minimal jewelry, staying hydrated, and giving yourself plenty of time to arrive before your session begins. Arriving 10 minutes prior to your session ensures more hands-on time. Make sure you are physically able to receive and enjoy a massage/reiki session. Reschedule if you are experiencing a fever, skin irritations, or feeling ill. Feel free to call us with any questions or concerns. If you are unsure if you should have a session with a particular medical condition/s consult your physician. Rescheduling or canceling your appointment must be done at least 24 hours prior or 100% of scheduled service will be charged. If no notice is given you'll be charged 100% of scheduled services. There will be a 48-hour confirmation email sent prior to your appointment as a reminder.

This is my first Reiki session, what can I expect?

Reiki is a Japanese technique that is a holistic, evidence-based practice that incorporates the intentional and compassionate use of universal energy to promote balance and well-being in all aspects of the individual: emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual. This session is intended for those who wish not to get undressed or need minimal hands-on contact or just want a relaxed energizing session. Clients will arrive 10 minutes early to check-in. Your practitioner will guide you to the treatment area and assist in getting you comfortable and relaxed. Blankets, pillows, and props are available. In a reiki healing experience, you are guided to rest your gaze or close your eyes and take slow but full breaths to begin the relaxation process. The practitioner will begin the session. During the session, you may sense light touch, or warmth radiating in certain areas. Some have experienced a coolness or a breeze sensation. Others have visualizations, like colors or shapes. All these experiences are normal and unique to each individual. When the session is coming to a close, your practitioner will gently guide you back and step away to allow time for self-reflection. Once you have collected your thoughts the practitioner will review their insights from the session and offer suggestions.

This is my first Therapeutic Massage, what can I expect?

Therapeutic Massage incorporates a variety of advanced modalities that enhance the body’s natural restorative functioning. Light to firm touch is used to release tension, relax muscles, increase blood and lymph circulation, and impart a sense of calm. Therapeutic massage can be used as a collaborative, supportive addition to conventional medical treatment of illness and injury, alleviating pain and stress, aiding soft tissue healing, and revitalizing the body. Also, regular massage can enhance health, providing relaxation, the release of muscle tightness, relief from anxiety and tensions, and balancing aspects of the four bodies: emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual. Each session is customized to the client's needs. Clients will arrive 10 minutes early to check-in. Your therapist will guide you to the treatment room and will leave to provide you privacy to undress to the level of your comfort. Specific massage techniques can be performed entirely clothed if you are uncomfortable disrobing. You will lay on a massage table, face up or down depending on the goals of the session, under the draping for warmth, comfort, and modesty. Only areas being massaged will be undraped. Specific areas such as genitals and breasts will never be undraped. Bolstering will be provided to take the pressure off of the low back and joints (more bolstering is available upon request). Side laying positioning is available for those who can not lay prone(on your stomach). Depending on the service, use of cupping, essential oils, and or CBD/hemp products are available as requested. When the session comes to a close you will be left in privacy to collect yourself and redress. Please take your time when getting up from the table as it is normal to feel “lightheaded” or “tipsy”. The therapist will return with a recommended plan based on what was observed and discussed during the massage. This is a great time to let us know of any adjustments we can make to create your next session. It is always our intention to provide a safe and nurturing environment.
